The campus is 24 acres on historic oak-lined St. Charles Avenue in Uptown New Orleans; directly across from Audubon Park and Audubon Zoo, with expansive green space and lagoons, a golf course, tennis courts and riding stables; 20 minutes from the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans.

Loyola offers 130 student organizations, including a dozen fraternities and sororities, clubs and intramural sports – from the Muslim Student Association to the Anime Club. Community service is important at Loyola, and the school gives students many ways to volunteer through organizations such as Loyola University Community Action Program and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Loyola athletics consists of many intramural teams, several club sports and varsity opportunities in basketball, baseball, cross country, track, tennis, golf and volleyball.
Living on campus in one of five residence halls gives you opportunities to meet new people and make friends, go to campus events, join student organizations, and participate in leadership experiences.
Living on campus means no sitting in traffic or search for parking; which means a stress-free commute to class and co-curricular activities. The library, classroom buildings, and on- campus dining options are less than a 10-minute walk from each residence hall! Undergraduate students are required to live on campus for at least 2 years.
Loyola University Dining Services partners with Tulane University to provide reciprocal dining privileges for students, faculty and staff to use their Wolfbucks and meal plans at all locations on both campuses. In addition to offering you a variety of 25 dining options, Loyola is constantly seeking out new trends, fun ingredients and innovative healthy preparation techniques in the quest to consistently serve great-tasting food.
Currently, first-year and sophomore students living on campus must have a weekly meal plan. Upper-class students (Junior standing and above) living on campus must carry at least a $500 Wolf Bucks Only plan and may choose any higher plan at their option. Commuter students have the option to choose from any meal plan or Wolf Buck increments.
The maroon and gold Loyola Wolf Pack sports teams compete in Division I of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as a member of the Southern States Athletic Conference.
