Seton Hill is a nationally-recognized liberal arts university, where you will receive a top education in your chosen field of study and graduate with a deeper understanding of the arts, sciences and humanities. Seton Hill offers more than 80 undergraduate programs, 11 graduate programs, an Adult Degree Program and a wide variety of certificates and minors through five schools: 1. The School of Business; 2. The School of Humanities; 3. The School of Education & Applied Sciences; 4. The School of Natural & Health Sciences; 5. The School of Visual & Performing Arts.
The most popular majors at Seton Hill University include: Business, Management, Marketing; Visual and Performing Arts; Education; Health Professions; and Biological and Biomedical Sciences. The average freshman retention rate, an indicator of student satisfaction, is 80 percent.
Seton Hill’s main “Hilltop” campus is set in 200 wooded acres in Pennsylvania’s scenic Laurel Highlands. A growing downtown campus features a Performing Arts Center and a brand-new arts center
The residence hall buildings are a mix of modern and historic architecture, all equipped with the best resources and technology for teaching and learning. Greensburg is a major cultural center in Western Pennsylvania. It boasts several museums, theaters, a performing arts center, and science center. Greensburg is home to many historic homes, old churches, and cathedrals. It is also close to the beautiful Appalachian Mountains.
Pittsburgh is only 45 minutes away by car and other major destinations like New York City and Philadelphia are easily accessible from the train station located next to the Performing Arts Center in downtown Greensburg. Regional and international airports are also nearby, in Latrobe, PA and Pittsburgh, PA respectively.
Clubs and organizations are open to all students at Seton Hill and are a great way to make new friends. The Seton Hill Student Government Association holds an Involvement Fair at the beginning of each academic year, where students can learn about the many clubs and organizations available at Seton Hill and meet the students involved in each. Some clubs are so popular they've become a tradition at Seton Hill, while new clubs are created by students, faculty and staff members every year. Some highlights include: The biology Club, Campus Cursive, and the Pokémon Club.
Seton Hill's Intramurals & Campus Recreation program will provide you with opportunities to participate in team activities such as: flag football, sand volleyball, basketball, kickball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, Quidditch and whiffle ball. There are also individual activities such as: table tennis, horseshoes, ladder ball, can jam, video game competitions and cornhole. You can also check out tents and sleeping bags if you wish to go camping.
